FOUNDER

Damien was born in France and grew up in Geneva until he was nine years old. He is a trained media designer for image and sound and worked until recently as a cameraman, filmmaker and editor in Hanover and Kiel. Since 2022, he has had his own production company together with his mate Julien called La Claque here in the neighbouring village.

Alexandra has been a qualified Ayurveda counsellor and masseuse since 2004 and a yoga teacher since 2005. Until she moved to France, she and her sister ran schön & wohl in Hamburg (which her sister Isabelle still runs today - if you happen to be in Hamburg, why not pop in? :-)). She is a cook, masseuse and responsible for the organisation at the Château. Since November 2023, she has had her own massage and tattoo studio in Longeville-sur-mer, ‘Le p'tit atelier’, where you can also get a massage and a tattoo if you are not our guest. Outside of our working hours, you can usually find us in the water surfing or out in nature with our dogs.

SURF TEACHER

Ghislain is a three-time French bodyboarding champion and the surf instructor we work with the most.

He has had his own school on our house beach for many years and if you are on holiday with us or book a yoga trip, we can also spontaneously organise surf lessons with him, from beginners to professionals. He speaks French, English, Spanish and a bit of German - so you'll definitely be able to communicate with him!

If you don't need a course but would like to hire equipment, that is of course also possible, and we also work with other local surf schools where we can always spontaneously find a place for you for a taster course or a course lasting several days.

HOUSE FAIRY

Where would we be without her! We first got to know Catherine through our neighbours before she became our friend. As chance would have it, she ran a luxury bed & breakfast in Provence with her boyfriend many years ago and is therefore a great help and support to us thanks to her experience.

She has been our house fairy since the beginning of 2018 and helps us to keep the house in tip-top condition.

She is also a real herbalist - and when she has time on the side, she makes beautiful wooden sculptures.

HOUSE FAIRY

Are you happy that you have beautifully made beds and clean bathrooms? That's thanks to Nathalie. For two years now, she has been helping us as house fairy in addition to Catherine, sometimes involving her whole family to make sure everything is ready for you on time!

BESCHÜTZER DES HAUSES

Jeffrey ist der Beschützer des Hauses und kommt aus dem russischen Tierschutz. Er sieht beeindruckend aus, ist aber in Wirklichkeit ein großer Wolf im Schafspelz und liebt es, gestreichelt zu werden. Auch Kinder findet er super! Nur bei anderen Hunden in seinem Revier wird er zum Macho ;-)

KUSCHELMONSTER

Solltet Ihr keine Katzen mögen, wird Io Euch eines Besseren belehren, denn sie ist unser Kuschelmonster und die wohl am meisten verschmuste Katze, die Euch je begegnet ist. Sie hat noch nie jemanden gekratzt, kuschelt sich auf Eure Schultern und liebt es, beim Yoga mitzumachen. Einige Gäste haben sich sogar wegen ihr nach einem Besuch bei uns Katzen angeschafft…

WIRBELWIND

Kleine freche Smilla. Unsere bunte Glückskatze kam 2019 als sechswöchiges, winziges Findelkind zu uns. Sie ist ein kleiner frecher Wirbelwind, sehr menschenbezogen und furchtbar lieb.

Sie lässt sich nicht ganz so viel streicheln wie Io, liebt aber trotzdem die Nähe zu unseren Gästen und hält sich eigentlich immer in unserer Nähe auf.

MAROKKANISCHE PRINZESSIN

Yara haben wir im November 2022 aus einem Refuge in Marokko zu uns geholt. Sie ist Fremden gegenüber im ersten Moment eher scheu und unsicher, aber sobald sie einmal Vertrauen gefasst hat, schenkt sie Euch ihr ganzes Herz!
